Welcome to Anasoma Integrative Wellness: Your Path to Lasting Wellness

At Anasoma Integrative Wellness, we go beyond managing symptoms—we empower you to transform your health by addressing the root causes of imbalance and “dis-ease”. We believe true health begins with a deep understanding of the body and mind as an integrated whole. Whether you’re dealing with chronic illness or seeking a more balanced lifestyle, our holistic approach and tailored solutions will guide you every step of the way.

We provide health and wellness services helping you achieve your goal of optimal health. We do not replace your primary care doctor, or other medical services, but rather complement your healthcare and lifestyle through our functional and integrative health approach.

Meaning of our name, Anasoma ~ combining the Greek words Anasa and Soma

Ανάσα / Anasa means ‘breath’ in Greek and also stands for the sacred land, its wisdom, hills, waters, herbs, its flavors, sounds and smells.

Σώμα Soma means ‘body’ in Greek

In Greek, the prefix “ana” also means above or to elevate ~ inspiring ourselves to rise above and to elevate our body’s healing abilities

More about our founder Dr. Alexia Soteropoulos, MD, IHP, CHEF

Dr. Alexia Soteropoulos was inspired to pursue medicine, health and wellness by her own personal journey. As a young child, she was plagued with debilitating symptoms including dizziness, anxiety, and GI distress. She was seen by 5 different specialists with no diagnosis, nor a recognition that these symptoms stemmed from a common root cause. She was given a prescription for the same beta blocker her elderly grandfather was taking to ease her symptoms without addressing the cause.  Ultimately, she was seen by an MD who practiced functional and integrative medicine.  Through a comprehensive intake and functional testing, he was able to find the root of her symptoms, all originating from food sensitivities and GI microbiome imbalance. It was from this personal journey, that Dr. Soteropoulos set out to become the type of doctor that helped her so greatly.  During her medical school training and clinical rotations, it was evident to her that the focus was on sickness and disease rather than true healing and optimal wellness.

After completing her medical degree, Dr. Soteropoulos enhanced her expertise through additional training and certifications in “root cause medicine”, alternative ways of mitigating “dis-ease”, and lifestyle coaching including specializing in medical nutrition.  She is committed to empowering her clients to optimize their health and tap into their body’s innate ability to heal.

Dr. Soteropoulos’ additional training and certifications include:

• Integrative Health Practitioner Level 1 & 2 Certification from The Integrative Health Practitioner Institute

• Culinary Medicine Coaching Certification from Harvard University Medical School and Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital

• BioSet/Certified ECM Method Natural Healthcare Practitioner (Bio-Meridian Electrodermal Assessment and Correction)

• Ulan Method of Nutrition Response Therapy
